Born from real life — from a home where love had to adapt
Crabby Mom & Labby Girl Designs was born from real life — from a home where love had to adapt.
Our story begins with a daughter caring for her mother living with dementia, supported by her fiancé, and grounded every day by two loyal labs, Buddy and Ria. Together, they navigate routine, responsibility, exhaustion, humor, and grace — learning daily what it means to show up for one another.
Buddy brings steadiness and comfort. Ria brings joy, alertness, and light. And caregiving is shared — through meals, nights, and the quiet work that often goes unseen.
This brand exists to honor that kind of love.
We create thoughtful designs for caregivers, families, and dog lovers who understand that strength is often quiet, that presence matters more than perfection, and that companionship can be just as important as words.
Our work isn't about pretending caregiving is easy. It's about honoring the people — and the dogs — who make it possible.
The Chocolate Lab
Steadiness and comfort. Buddy is the calm presence in the room, the one who knows when to rest his head on your lap, the gentle soul who reminds us that sometimes just being there is enough.
The Black Lab
Joy, alertness, and light. Ria brings energy and awareness, the spark that lifts spirits on difficult days, the loyal companion who notices everything and responds with boundless love.
The Coastal Spirit
A symbol of resilience and adaptation. The crab represents the "Crabby Mom" — someone who navigates challenges with determination, who protects what matters, and who finds strength in coastal roots and memories.
We see you. The late nights, the patience, the love that shows up even when you're exhausted. Our designs celebrate the quiet heroism of caregiving and the people who give so much of themselves.
Dogs don't judge. They don't need explanations. They just show up, every single day, with unwavering loyalty. Buddy and Ria remind us that companionship is a form of care, and sometimes the best support comes with four paws.
We don't pretend it's easy. We don't sugarcoat the hard days. Instead, we create designs that acknowledge the full spectrum of caregiving — the exhaustion and the grace, the routine and the unexpected moments of joy.
